Ilya Nuzov, litigates a wide variety of complex actions, with a focus on securities class actions and derivative actions. He has been responsible for the initial investigation of numerous actions brought on behalf of investors and has played an important role in their prosecution. 

Mr. Nuzov was part of the team that successfully prosecuted the derivative action on behalf of Freddie Mac (Sadowsky Testamentary Trust v. Brendsel et al. and Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, 05 cv 2596) in the Southern District of New York.  In addition, Mr. Nuzov has also played a significant role in the successful prosecution of numerous securities class actions, including on behalf of shareholders of McLeod USA Inc. (In re McLeodUSA Inc. Securities Litigation, C02-001-MWB) in the Northern District of Iowa and of King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (In re King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Securities Litigation, 03 cv 77 (TWP)) in the Eastern District of Tennessee.

Mr. Nuzov has also successfully litigated shareholder actions arising out of mergers and acquisitions, often culminating in increased consideration paid to shareholders, as well as disclosures to shareholders of material information necessary for their consideration in voting on those transactions.
