Moshe Balsam has represented clients in complex securities class and shareholder derivative actions in federal and state courts for over twenty years.
Mr. Balsam played a lead role in the recovery of tens of millions of dollars for defrauded investors. These include the successful prosecution of shareholder class actions against numerous publicly-traded companies in jurisdictions around the country such as Worldwide Xceed, IIS Intelligent Information, Martin Color-fi and The Hibernia Bank – in which $20 million was recovered for the class. Mr. Balsam also played a lead role in the trial of the Kay Jewelers litigation (In re Kay Jewelers Securities Litigation, 90 cv 1663A) which ultimately settled before going to the jury for decision.
