In re Hewlett-Packard Company Derivative Litigation, C.A. No. 2428 (VCN), Court of Chancery of the State of Delaware. Weiss & Lurie was co-lead counsel in this derivative action stemming from the board of directors’ leak investigation that ultimately led to the firing/resignation of various high level officers and directors of HP. Substantial corporate governance reforms were instituted as part of the settlement, with HP’s special litigation committee agreeing to undertake numerous widespread corporate governance changes directed toward HP’s code of business ethics and guidelines.
